Most of the photographs (unless otherwise specified) used on this website were taken by Ploy Jantarasombat (BCL, 2022), who adored the College whilst reading law within its grounds. She expresses some of the wonder of St. Hugh’s in colours and images, happy in the serenity of our Swan-Swaddled College.

Together with Monique Panisa Thongma (MBA, 2022) and Timothy Ke (BCL, 2022), Ploy has brought to life a captioned photobook, “An Ode to Oxford”, enshrining ever-“Oxford” moments, a celebration of this magical town. The following reads from the photo book’s foreward:
The falling autumn leaves at the start of Michaelmas, the excitement of matriculation, the Narnian lampposts that glow at Christmastime, the first bloom of purple crocus heralding spring, the exam carnations, and summer nights under clear constellations. The age-old dining halls where students have formed lifelong friends. The meadows where we basked in joyful sunshine. The solemn footsteps of Lewis and Tolkien we’ve retraced in Addison’s Walk. The annals of erudite were for us to explore in the most important formative years of our lives—as Hobbes, Locke, and many other Giants before us have done. The hallowed halls of history where people seldom enter, we were privileged enough to call home. We made memories and left our indelible mark on the town—and the town on us.

To those fortunate enough to study at this great College, we hope your journey is as colourful as all those who went before. For anyone interested in the photobook, please get in touch at odetooxford@gmail.com. A portion of proceeds will go to Concordia Welfare and Education Foundation, and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
This is a tribute to all the Giants we are grateful for
