Equality & Diversity

The MCR is always open to suggestions, ideas for initiatives, and raising awareness for any cause you feel appropriate. Please submit these, along with any feedback, to mcr.equalities-rep@st-hughs.ox.ac.uk.

The College and the MCR are committed to ensuring an environment that is welcoming and inclusive to everyone who joins us. Current definitions for minority identities (as named by the students) include sexuality, religion, culture, nationality, gender, major, and disability. These definitions are not set in stone, and it is important that you see yourself within the College. Throughout the term, the Diversity and Equality Representative (mcr.equalities-rep@st-hughs.ox.ac.uk) will keep you up to date with relevant activities happening across the College and University. Please forward any related news or event that you wish to be circulated to the MCR.

The MCR has a portal for anonymously submitting Diversity/Equality related requests and ideas: https://forms.gle/wuKuT1TjXYeGTKLa9. This portal will remain open throughout the academic year, with the MCR representative checking submitted answers regularly.

The College has dedicated support for ensuring a safe and secure environment for all staff and students. Please feel free to reach out to the Tutor for Equality and Diversity (tutorforequality@st-hughs.ox.ac.uk).
